Thread OP

hello everyone, im new to this forum and to looking after succulents and i have some questions.
first of all if anyone could please help me identify the type of echeveria my plant is, i have unfortunately forgotten.
and also, i had to leave my plant alone without water for a month, i couldnt take it with me and had no option other than to leave it behind, and something strange happened to it. the leaves are a little less firm than usual, and very shiny and theyre drooping down. all the older ones appear to have died and are covered up by the new leaves. this has never happened before to any of my plants. i dont know if im under or overwatering it, does anyone know what i can do? the plant is in london, around 0°C this time of the year, its next to a window with no sun.
i am terrible at looking after plants.

I cannot ID your echeveria because it has become really etiolated(and this also answers your second question), and the new growth is all pale and glossy(lacking and distinctive features) . In the future dont bury plants deep inside the pot, and maybe put them somewhere brighter. This isnt from underwatering.

I wish I could help you with the ID, but I have to agree with Stefan. Follow his advice, give it more light, and come back in a few months, and we should be able to identify it for you.

Welcome!

It would get more light if it weren't living in the bottom of a pit. Gently dump the plant and rootball out of the pot and fill the pot with enough cactus soil to bring the top of the soil up level with the rim of the pot. Do you have a window that receives some sun?
