This plant was sold to me as lemon balm but is it really lemon balm? To me it does not look like any lemon balm I've seen, it loos more like Spanish thyme to me.

What does it smell like?

Im gonna be honest, im not quite sure; I can't explain it, I gave it to my sister too and she wasen't sure what it smelled like either. It is definetly scented, I compared it with lemon but they don't smell the same.

—Also hi daisyl, Has been a while since we interacted! I no longer have a dorm, I live in an apartment and have much more space for my plants but I also have to be careful because I have a cat now and he likes chomping on my plants.

This looks like a Plectranthus to me. There are several fuzzy, aromatic species.

Its nice to see you again. Are you done with school?

Be careful of chompy cats. Mine spent her whole life struggling with kidney disease after taking one bite out of an Easter Lily leaf. She also devoured an entire anthurium and a hot chili plant. She had to climb to great heights to eat my plants but managed. I stopped keeping houseplants, it was safer for the cat and my pocketbook. I grew her cat grass but she preferred my plants.

Im still studying to get my degrees, and I have been really careful as to what plants I get, plants that are aromatic or citrosy seem to be safe for him since he dosent like them. This mystery plant has been safe.

A very brief search indicates some sources saying that some species of Plectranthus are mildly toxic for cats, and P. caninus is said to repel cats. There are many species of Plectranthus. Some are used culinarily by humans, and a lot of them are aromatic &/or fuzzy.

Yours could be one of these:
Cuban Oregano (Coleus amboinicus)
Plectranthus Cerveza 'n Lime®
Silver Spurflower (Plectranthus argentatus)
Blue Coleus (Coleus neochilus)
Vicks Plant (Plectranthus hadiensis)
Purple Swedish Ivy (Plectranthus purpuratus)

If you have outdoor garden areas, you could put some cuttings of this in the ground when it has become warm outside, see what it does and hopefully, observe some blooms.
