I bought this weirdo for a quarter with a handful of other succulents from Kroger. I'm actually amazed it's not died on me yet. The buds look almost like tiny starburst. It looks similar to the string of bananas except the "leaves" curl all the way back to the vine. I put "leaves" in quotations marks because I haven't really inspected the plant close up because every time I touched it the leaves seemed to fall off. When they came off there was a sort of woody scent.

Yes, a Sedum. There's not enough to it to come up with a definite species let alone cultivar name.
