Laurie, yours is probably a Commelina because T. fluminensis could not survive outside in your location.

Tiffany, Thanks! That could be my plant. It does have tiny true blue flowers. Could be the invasive species, Commelina communis. I've made half-hearted attempts to pull it out and clean up that area, but it keeps reappearing. I'll have to examine it more closely this summer.

Ocala seems like a nice area. I've been through there. I usually go to the edges when I go to FL.

Laurie, the key to determining the species for Commelina are very subtle differences in the blooms, and overall habit of the foliage.
