The best I think I can do is to say it is a Latouria type Dendrobium.

I doubt that it is a species, most likely a hybrid. Which one, I do not know. There are a few well known and widely sold spotted yellow hybrids, Bruce Gordon being one. I doubt that this is Bruce Gordon.

I have a suggestion. When looking for a precise name or ID, it would be a good idea to isolate a single flower or two. But with that tangled mess of 8 or 9 flowers, it can get difficult to decipher where one flower ends and another begins. It makes it difficult to decide what the flower is really like.
Part of that is the way these things bloom, kind of helter skelter!
But it could also be indicative of why it is important to keep a developing bloom spike to constantly face the same direction. If the plant gets moved, the spike may face east, then west, then south, then west again, this is not a good idea. The spike develops twists and turns as the spike bends towards the brightest light.

THIS MIGHT BE BETTER OFF IF IT WAS POSTED IN THE ORCHID FORUMS.

Yes, it looks a lot like one of the Dendrobium spectabile orchids types. Mine is blooming right now.

It is not Dendrobium spectabile, although that is on the right track.

The closest I could come searching the Orchid Wiz is Dendrobium Spider Lily. Dendrobium Spider Lily is a hybrid of Den. Roy Tokunaga x Dendrobium alexandrae. It is not the species I don't think nor is it Fred Gordon as I stated before. Fred Gordon does not bloom as well nor does that hybrid typically have this many spots.
Like I said, maybe a Spider Lily. My confidence level is only at 60-70% at best.
Oh @Australis what do you think?

@sedumzz, if you're able to get a few good face-on and profile photos of a single bloom, that would be really helpful, as Bill mentioned.

I agree that it is not Orchid (Dendrobium spectabile). It reminds me a little of Orchid (Dendrobium Andreé Millar), so I suspect we're looking at a Orchid (Dendrobium atroviolaceum) hybrid. Which one is hard to say; it might be Den. Spider Lily as Bill suggests, but I am not confident enough to say that's it.

Well typical Latourias last 3-4 weeks for me. I think that if memory serves, Green Apples and Andre Millar are fuller, more rounder flowers and more green in color. I have grown them both and I am pretty sure Green Apples is spotless and I think that Andre Millar doesn't have many spots, if any.
I am up early, I'll check beofre heading up to Lansing to judge their show starting at 7:30am!! My goodness. Who invented 7:30?? It is an ungodly hour!!!! I tip my hat to you. Rolling on the floor laughing

I just checked. I don't think it is Little Green Apples or Andree Millar. Both of those are almost spotless and greener.

It could very well be Dendrobium Spider Lily.
All of the spots are on the back of the flower which is a trait of Roy Tokunaga. The lip does look a little like the lip of Dendrobium alexandrae which is the other parent. But I still can't be positive.
I looked all through the Lansing show last week and I'll check Akron tomorrow.
