Thanks so much @Silversurfer, it does indeed resemble B. obliqua. I saw this in the landscape plantings at a local nursery and the next time I'm there I'll have to ask if anyone knows the name, but that sure looks like a very close match!

@purpleinopp, Tiffany I spotted this on the way out to the car and got a couple of real quick pics with my phone but I will definitely stop and take a whiff the next time I'm there and I plan to take my camera next time too, in hopes of getting better pictures of lots of plants!

@Calif_Sue, It was really pretty! We don't have many great garden centers here anymore but this one (Rock City Gardens) is very nice. They have a lake in the center with a gazebo and chairs where you can sit and relax. There's a man made creek that I think runs into the lake and a nature trail with benches along the way. Really nice place to just take a quiet walk, or sit and look at the water. They hold weddings and other events on the property at times but allow the public to come in and just walk around even if you don't buy anything.
