Hello
I'm in Perth, WA and we have just finished summer/started autumn (according to the calendar, but the weather doesn't agree). We picked up have 2 desert roses a couple of months ago, they are situated in an area where they receive direct sunlight for a few hours at the end of the day. During the hot weather, I have been watering them regularly and them seem to have responded well as the leaves have become fuller and turned a dark green and flowering regularly - they were in a sorry state when purchasing.
I had read that desert roses love direct sunlight all day long. So based on this, yesterday I moved one to an area that receives direct sunlight from the morning to the mid-late afternoon. After 1 day with direct sunlight, light brown patches appeared on the leaves (per photo). I have moved it back to its original position, but am curious what would have caused the light brown patches. There aren't any dark brown spots, so do not think it is fungi related, but it could be?
Many thanks for your wisdom and advice
Alex
