Hi there fellow gardeners! I live in the north Texas DFW area and would love to plant some autumn blaze maples on our property. Before I make the investment on multiple trees, I would like to hear from some of you that live in the DFW metroplex and have these trees. How have they worked out for you? Is ours a zone that they will thrive in (extreme heat/icy, unpredictable winters)? The majority of our property has zero shade, so they would be in direct full sun the entirety of our scorching hot, drought summers. Also of note, we have intense clay soil (the kind that deeply cracks in the summer). Any advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
