Come all gardeners
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
All of the heucheras
Are beyond your command
With the hail and the snow
Rapidly agin'
Please get out your spades
And lend your hand
For the heuxs they are all a-heavin'

I like that - do you have a tune we can put that to?

By the way, I was out looking today and yes, some of them are definitely heaving.

Mine are still snow covered with more to come tomorrow. Hopefully all the snow kept them in place.

They are talking about snow tomorrow - hoping it isn't much.

Thanks much, springcolor. I made avatar here:

http://bighugelabs.com/mosaic....

We might have 1/4" of snow and one of the school districts has announced an early closing. Unbelivable.

So far, no snow. I am hoping it stays that way - at least for the next 9 or 10 months! nodding

Only flurries here so far. The weather map has it showing snow south and west of me so will have to wait to see if it comes here.

Cute poem! Hilarious! Hilarious!

Hope the majority of the snow misses you Bob and Carolyn. The last one missed us too. Whew.

I agree. We still have drifts 3 feet deep across parts of our yard. Last year we had temps in the 70s and 80s in March.

Last winter was the holy grail of plant confusion here, with temps swinging low to very high and followed by a record breaking summer heat that burnt daylily bud tips, caused seed pods to abort and made heucheras cry. It was a piercing heat you could feel burning your skin and I don't look forward to a repeat.

We had some pretty brutal weather last summer too.
