Thread OP

Will cutting of the flowering steps of succulents make them grow faster? Don't really care for those flower in long stems.

I haven't done any actual experiments, but I do routinely remove inflorescences from some Haworthias and aloes to favor the growth of leaves and roots (in theory).

I haven't seen flower stalks affect the growth much, unless there are many of them. I usually only keep 1 or so flower stalks. Another problem with flower stalks, is they often have mites and aphids. Smiling
