These have been together for over six months and as you can see they're all out of sync as far as who should be watered or not. They arrived in sept. bare root. Growing indoors under lights. All looked to small to be of blooming age except perhaps the one that has now bloomed very very late in the season. It hadn't split along with the others you can see so I gave them, individually, water. Overnight the bloom forced its way out. I also let the temp inside drop lower to encourage the non splitters. It'll be tricky to keep this arraignment successfully but I like it. Crossing Fingers!

Only a few made it. I have them under more light for the winter now and that'll help them be a little more prepared for some real sun in the spring i hope.

My first try Lithops seeds were from Mesa Gardens. They'll be a year old March 17th. They take two years to be sizable enough to handle repotting and three to five years to bloom! They also sell plants.I prefer to bye older plants but will by more seeds from the Mesemb Study Group since i'm a member and they offer nice lithops cultivars and other mesembs. They're in Europe but there are many reputable sources in the US also. Seeds are the way to go if you're young and you do your homework on "how to". They're a bit of a challenge until you figure it out.
