Kal stems take root within days, just stick them in a pot like arranging flowers, in the same direction in which they were growing. Remove a few leaves if needed to have 2-5" of bare stem to sink into the soil.
Do you have a spot with more light? All of the leaves are curled down from less-than-ideal exposure.
I live in a humidity zone, Kals don't mind at all. I wouldn't worry about that.
