Yup, JT, 'LaPaz' is one of its parents. If I remember correctly, this is a ('La Paz' x 'Liberty') cross. I'll have to double check the tag when I get home tonight to make sure. I have another that looks almost identical, except the white star in the center is slightly larger and the flower stems are ~3" to 4" long (the flower stems on 'Ootsie' stay right about 3/4" to 1"). Both grow tall flower stalks - well above the foliage - at probably 24" to 26" (even in full sun).

I just liked this one a little better of the two, mainly due to the shorter flower stems. I crossed it with 'Splash', so we'll see what happens!

Love it! Beautiful flower. When you stated you named it after.....did you mean it is registered or is it just in your garden and not available to others at this time...I am asking because I have two of my crosses that have bloomed and named them for my granddaughters, but they are not registered or anything like that....I also have a question and perhaps you can help me....at what stage do you put your seedling bulbs in their own pots? I have several pots of two year old seedlings that I am not certain whether they need to be separated or not to continue growing and developing. They are all random crosses and I do not have any idea what was crossed with what, long story...so they will be noids of course, for my garden or for friends...
