Maybe Ginkgo?

I think so. I just went out and stared at my Ginkgo - the emerging buds do have that look.

I don't think the leaf, however, is a good match.

My first thought was a Ribes. Perhaps something like Ribes cereum? I don't think it's Ginkgo.

Certainly not a Ginkgo, although at first sight a good match, no-one drawing would change the nerve stucture so much. The nerve structue is clearly of a dicotyledon, so the Ribes could be right.

Can anyone read the name of what I presume is the artist, bottom right?

I was basing my ID on this:
Thumb of 2022-04-01/DaisyI/7bc178

And this:

But photos of Ribes show similar scales. The leaf veins do look like Ribes but the shape could be either.

Its a drawing, not a photograph so there is always some artistic license. It could be either one.

So eselwyn, if you want leaves like that in a really big plant, choose a Ginkgo (but Ginkgo do make great bonsai). If you don't have space for a tree, choose a Wax Current. I'm not sure we can come to a conclusion one way or the other. Hilarious!

But what plant could possibly have such an incredibly long petiole?

That is some artistic license! nodding

Not just Overstock. It's a mass produced print all over the Internet, available from Walmart to icanvas and as iphone wallpaper where it's called "brown maple leaf." Seems to have originated from a company called Seven Trees Design, which might be based in Colombia, South America, altho there is also a graphic design studio based in Biddeford, Maine called Seven Tree design. Could be quite a long, winding rabbit hole if one cared to pursue the origin.

I agree with Daisy and Leftwood; it might just be stylized graphic art, so pick some real plant that looks similar.

The picture is called Botanic Notes, I wonder if the three items are even supposed to be the same plant.

I think eselwyn is looking to buy the print rather than the plant.

Rolling on the floor laughing just re-read original post...you're right. Eselwyn, you might have to accept that it's not exact representational art. I like that you wanted to know what was depicted, though.

just wanted to know what the drawing as of. I guess ginkgo as far as the leaf but who knows, I too don't think the other drawings on the page are of the same plant, but it is just meant to be artwork. Finding out the artist and contacting them is probably the only way to know, but that also probably isn't going to be realistic. The drawing is pretty and has value as art/decor, whatever it is.

Nothing to see here, folks. Art often strays from actual botany.
(but, maple leaf? Jeeze!)
Plant it and they will come.

The photo is definitely a Gingko bud. The botanic drawings on the artwork are not from a Gingko. The leaf drawing reminds me of a geranium leaf with an extremely long petiole. I don't understand a connection between any of the plant parts or the photo.
The writing on the lower left side "arida folia autumnis" is Latin for dried autumn leaves/leaf. All the writing on this drawing is in Latin. The writing on the right side/top "plant studium" translates to Plant Study. I can't read the spelling on the other words well enough to get a coherent interpretation.

I'd make a case that the thing on the left is a tuber (corm?) Like Oxalis triangularis.
Again, artists don't necessarily intend the piece as a botanical illustration. Or mean the words to be accurate either.
Plant it and they will come.
