Thank you!!

Are you sure it's a hyacinth?? I looked up agapanthus and it looks almost exactly the same to the stem and leaves of the plant I took a photo of.

Yes, definitely a hyacinth. Hyacinth has that "1 per bunch, 1 bloom for every segment of stem", agapanthus is more "1 big cluster of many flowers".

It is a nice photo. Not positive it's a hyacinth, but it isn't an agapanthus. You're looking only at the individual flowers and not noticing how the entire inflorescence is constructed. There is only one little flower on the end of whatever each little stalk is called, many of which make up the whole umbel-like inflorescence, not multiple blooms per stalk as your picture shows. My botanical vocabulary is lacking, but my eyes know what they see Whistling Hilarious!

Oh, not questioning your ID, Sedumzz — just saying I know for sure it isn't Agapanthus. Thumbs up

Please don't add photos to an entry based on other online images, especially to a named cultivar. If unsure, always use the Plant ID forum first. Thumbs up
