Another nature hike and I found new friends. Can you help me identify them?

The last one is white milkweed, Asclepias variegata, which I'd never seen before I just Googled it. I'd love to find some of those for my yard! Proper name is Redring Milkweed. Either way, it's pretty. It also seems to do very well with less sun than other milkweeds.

The 8th one is one of the big leaf magnolias. Not sure which might be found in South Carolina, and one would need a clearer image of the leaf base morphology to be absolutely sure.

Seeing no evidence of auriculate characteristics, I'm calling it Magnolia tripetala.

#8 looks very much like a May apple (or May pop), though a bit taller than the ones in Kentucky. Loves shade.

Please make sure it's ok with wherever you found the milkweed before you take it! In some places it might be against the law or stuff like that. Just make sure it's ok to do :-)

I agree Patsy22april on ID's 4, 7, and 9. Not sure on other stuff

Wow thank you all. Thank you Patsy 22. Now I can go and research these amazing plants. Sedumzz I never take the plants I find I wait until I can get seeds or I take cuttings but never the whole plant. I feel the original plant should stay in it's natural habitat, unless it will be destroyed. Down here in SC they do alot of logging wildflowers one day, gone tomorrow.

Unfortunately that milkweed is extremely difficult to successfully transplant... and... seldom sets seed pods...

Not sure about that plant app... as stated above... some are correct... check the other guesses as well...
