Do dutch iris take everlasting sun & heat & drought?

I don't know. They go dormant in the summer and grow again in the fall. I bet they would bloom in spring. go dormant and then grow again during your winter.
I'll have to think on it & do some research. I like them. They are sure pretty. I hope no one bangs me over the head for saying this but for the most part the TB don't turn me on although there ARE exceptions just like with me & roses. But I like the dutch iris flower form.
Okay, now I'm ducking & running for cover.

I may have missed my chance to bop the nosy neighbor in the forehead, but I wouldn't even think of bopping you! Some people like TB iris, and some don't! I love them myself, but had to cut way back on them when the daylily crazies took over. Now I've got more than enough room for both and I'm so happy about that! I think what I like the most about the two is that when the TB iris are done blooming, the daylily show usually starts. That was in I was in Utah, but I think it will be the same here. I always planted the iris behind the daylilies, and it was a very nice display. Kind of like Rita's tulips, but without the insanity!
