This was originally posted to Clint Brown's thread "What are you propagating" on Oct 3, 2021, and subsequently updated several times. I have collected those posts together in a new thread here.

My first attempt at "seed propagating" Hoya carnosa. Each tray contains seeds from an individual seed pod. The three seed pods were collected when they "popped" open during August. The seeds were planted on 9/10/21 and germinated in 5 days. This is what they look like today (10/3/21).

Due to the dropping temperatures, I had to move them indoors. The purple glow is from the "grow light". It's on a timer - 15hrs light/9hrs dark.

Now trying to decide whether I should "up" pot these now or wait till spring? Any suggestions?

Final Update: 4/20/2022
I decided to repot the seedlings in 6" & 8" hanging pots. Finished the work yesterday and here are a couple of pictures showing the results -

Stats: Shown - 24-8" pots and 3-6" pots. Plus 4-8" pots and several pots of seedlings rehomed. With 3 plants per 8" pot and 2 plants per 6" pot + seedlings rehomed = 90+ plants total.

Now I'm looking forward to the children growing up and showing their personalities. It's been a fun and rewarding project.

Well, I wasn't planning to add any updates after the last post but decided to add just one more. The following photo is of one of the Hoya carnosa's pictured in the "Final Update" above. I have several of these, in various stages of bloom development, but this one is furthest along with three full blooms. Total time from seed to bloom was 1 year and 8 months.

Hope everyone enjoyed this journey
