Thread OP

Hello all. After posting a reply to a post I realized I was at the wrong place to start a thread so I came to the computer so I could see.
I am a newbie with raised beds. All my veggies are from seeds and have a mixed soil of compost and potting soil form local nursery. I've attached some pictures of my garden and the problem zucchini. I do not see bug or eggs. It starts on the older leaves somewhere in the middle and continues outward. I took this to my extension and they suggested flea beetle. Someone also suggested calcium deficiency?? Would appreciate any and all suggestion to the problem.

Welcome! You have a beautiful garden and I am sorry you are having difficulty with the zucchini but I have to say the good really outweighs the bad here. Wow, it looks great. Everyone in Florida experiences insect and disease issues, it comes with the territory here. I do not think you have a calcium deficiency which would manifest itself as blossom end rot in zucchini. Flea beetles are tiny, very hard to see, and I would probably go with that diagnosis. Spinosad is an organic spray that should help. Follow the labeled directions carefully and never spray during the heat of the day.
