Hi! I have a houseplant that I got as a cutting, and I have no idea what kind of plant it is, or how it's supposed to look. At first I thought it should be upright so I tied it to a pencil, but as it grew it started to sag a lot and I untied it. Now it just hangs over the side of the pot and it has gotten pretty big. Most of the plant just kind of lays on my windowsill, which doesn't really seem right? My friend suggested it might be one of those hanging plants, but the whole thing grows out of one tiny stem, and is pretty heavy, so I am worried it would break or something. I don't know anything about houseplants and would really appreciate any advice!!

haha thanks! no idea what i'm doing so definitely stumbled into it growing so well. And it does seem similar to some of the plants in the list! They are all so cute looking too, for sure gonna look for them if i need more plants at some point:)

Just from googling it seems like peperomia can look very different? I have two of them myself and they have much bigger leaves, but some of the pictures i saw definitely looked like my plant! thanks!
Let me know if you or anyone here identifies it! The unusual thing about your plant is the side stems and leafs coming out from each cluster of main leafs. Love the look and is now a must have if I can find one here. Have many peperomias, and yes they can vary in looks a great deal.

The Peperomia genus has many species, and some of the species have cultivars. They can be tricky to ID, especially if it wasn't purchased @ store.
