I purchased Clematis pitcherii seeds, not sure if a specific cultivar, from Etsy last year. Went through 3 venders and tried a bunch of stratification methods. Only 4 seeds visibly germinated from 1 of the venders. These seeds looked a bit different than the other two that were labeled C. Pitcherii. They have 1 set of real leaves but I cannot tell if they are the species I was told, if if they are of a hybrid cultivar or something.

The seeds are definitely a clematis species. It's really way to early to say, but bigger one in the second pic is what I would expect pitcheri to look like at this stage.

Thank you for the input! I'll transplant them to a trellis in a month or so and see what grows. Maybe I'll get a bloom to verify what it is. 😀
