I have a flowering shrub in a wooded area of my yard that needs an ID. St Louis, Mo. Photos aren't great as it was a blustery day!

I have several exochorda species but the flowers are entirely different. I thought it might be a viburnum but I guess not.

The flowers look like Viburnum Lentago, but the leaves don't look the right shape.

Another possibility is chokeberry, genus Aronia.

Aronia is a possibility - I've planted a few over the years.

From Googling pics of it, I think you both nailed it with Aronia.

I agree with aronia, though not sure if melanocarpa or arbutifolia. I think the former, but not sure. I presume I'll know this fall when the berries show up. Thanks for your help!

A follow up post on a mystery plant I posted about in May.
It was ID'd as Aronia at the time, though uncertain if A. melanocarpa or A. arbutifolia.
It has berries now, so I presume it is A. arbutifolia, though the berries aren't in the clusters usually seen in pictures of A. arbutifolia. Does anyone have any new ideas about it, or shall we still stick w A. arbutifolia?

Prune off a stem or twig, and photo clearly closeup the buds. Those are good positive ID features.

Paucity of fruit may very well be due to lack of suitable/adequate cross-pollination of this Rosaceae member.

OK, @ViburnumValley here are some more photos. I hope they're clear enough and show the details you were wanting. They might all be redundant, so if there's something other detail you need to see, I can take more pictures. Thanks for looking at it.
