Arlene, I was wondering if your peacock orchids are still around in your yard. I'm being offered this fall ( here in the s.h.) a batch of bulbs. I read that it is fragrant ( a great plus imho) . I will greatly appreciate your comments. TYiA

It doesn't survive our winters. I have two more bags of them for this summer. The scent is very delightful and not overpowering. I love them - so do deer.

Enjoy, Arturo!

Thank you Thank You! Arlene, I assume that then you lift them up for winter, like with other gladiolas. Possibly I 'll start doing the same initially. Some of my glads do spend winter underground so who knows Confused
:cross_finger: Crossing Fingers! Crossing Fingers! no deer close by, although some **% introduced european red deer not too far away . They haven't crossed this far south.

I just buy new ones each year since I haven't been able to overwinter them successfully.

My glads stay underground all winter.

So what I gather they seem more tender than what's described here. I'll do my best then. Thank You!

Good luck. They're rather regal in a container.
