have been looking around and cant seem to get any solid identification on this colorful specimen I photographed while beachcombing in southeast ak. any ideas?
thanks , it most likely is that, did catch me off guard seeing it in such a spectrum of colors and seeming to trail more than some of the other examples I've seen

Using that nickname, one is led to Suaeda genus. Maybe S. maritima?
