Bought this 2 leaf Albo with roots and the stem is brown. This plant was VERY EXPENSIVE. What do I need to be doing?

Have you checked the roots? How does the leaf look like?

I am not sure what brown you are talking about? If you mean that teensy bit of brown flesh about 1/2 inch long on the petiole of the upright leaf that is the old cataphyll. Monstera have persistent cataphylls. They brown and stay on the plant. Did you do any research at all on the plant before you bought it? Since we can;t see the distal stem cut and 'roots' its hard to tell how much of a chance you have to make this grow. No, don;t pull it out to show us. Just leave it alone. It will hopefully be ok but if you jack with it a lot it will be setback after setback
