I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Plant Identifier
How hard is it to keep these pruned to a decent size? I seen on the tag they say 6 ft wide but the one I have planted here is about 15 feet wide in 3 years. I have to dig it out of course, would not have put it there if the tag didn't lie! So now I am wondering about using them as a hedge/privacy row and it will be 80 feet long or so. Can I keep them from getting larger than 12-15 feet across or will it keep getting even bigger than that?

Frillylily, from what I have experienced here with our dappled willow, you will need to do alot of trimming during the growing season to keep them small and shaped up. One of ours got well over 15 feet tall, use to block out the neighbor's view and last fall I cut if back to 3 foot. It is filling in nicely. I have another in the front yard I'm trying to keep rounded and at 3 foot and I'm cutting that one almost monthly. I love our variegate weiglia that we are training on the south property line into a privacy hedge.
