I have a trough of alpine plants on my porch. The plants appear to be doing fine. But I noticed the trough is inundated with these insects. I have many other troughs on the porch as well, none of which appear to have the same infestation. I'm not sure if these are a sign of a problem or if I should just let them be.

They are fierce predators although somewhat indiscriminate, extremely photogenic and fun to watch. We started a thread for PM fans a couple of years ago... stop by!
