I use auto focus no special lens..its just amazing to walk out with no light but the moon and hear my deer walking around who know me and are not scared of me nor the other night animals. I sometimes submit the pictures to the tv station and have had it featured on the weather segment. That is always a thrill to share my photos of the moon with so many other people, hoping they will take an interest in the beauty of God's creation!

Very nicely done! I too love to go out in the middle of the night and take pics of the moon in all various stages, including the other night as well. I don't have the beautiful setting you described, and have to shoot between overhead wires, but you make do with what you've got.
