Years ago before the desease that wiped out all the common impatients I used to buy two large flats of them at the nursery each spring and plant them out in pots all around the garden. Then suddenly one year they were just gone and you couldn't buy them any more. But of course plant breeders worked on getting desease resistant ones and they came back again/ But I haven't had them in years.

This year they are back in my garden and yes, they grow in pots. Am really enjoying having impatients again.
