hi everybody!

Like I told you 2 days ago my 'Nelly Moser' turned out to be something else.
I was a bit disappointed to tell you the truth, because I already had prepared the place where it was supposed to go (including attaching the metal grate on the wall ), right next to my frontdoor.


Yesterday I had to go back to the hardware store I bought the not-Nelly Moser (for something not-related) and hoped to ask the salesperson which cultivar it could be.
She was quite upset that the plant was mislabeled and immedialety removed all the other Nelly Moser plants from the display

As I didn't have the not-Nelly Moser (already potted up) nor the receipt (threw it out when the plant started to grow well ) she couldn't give me my money back...

But she díd give me a Clematis 'Arabella' for free!



I understand that Arabella won't grow so tall, so I will have to buy another Clematis to plant next to my front door (oh the hardship..!! ), but I'm very pleased with my new Clematis!

It looks like your mystery clematis is Multi Blue. I love it. It grows tall like Nelly.
Arabella is very good clematis for borders. It pokes its flowers here and there. If you want it on trellis you need to tie it as it is non vining. I wish someone would give me a clematis for each mislabeled one. My collection would be much bigger!

I dont' think that is C. Multi Blue, it doesn't look like ours. I'll have to look around
for the name, there are several blue ones. I just picked up C. Arebella and it just
opened today!
