Even though predominantly purple, the orange and dark purple really set it off nicely. Beautiful banner!

And before hailstorm? Did the irises survive it ok?

Thanks all!
Those very blooms were shredded, but the irises survived just fine and were looking okay with new blooms within a few days.
I do hate picking off shredded blooms, but it happens every year Hilarious!

My absolute favourites, it it is really difficult to make a banner from iris blooms. This is a stunning banner! Very jealous! 😍🥰

Dirt, your photo is distinct as usual... I tip my hat to you.
and stunning... couldn't be less either.... Smiling
I was struck by the way that little bits of orange in Amigo's beards stands out because of the mass of centred orange falls of IA. I have also a curiosity beyond the photo itself. Does the blooming continue towards the left?. Is there anything deep violet somewhere further away?. The falls of Amigo are just beautifully rich dark deep violet. The colour is so saturated that it acts as a secondary visual magnet to me. So I look at the photo staring towards the right as if it were right wieghted. Is it me? I sense this tension and I really don't know whether its me ( the beholder) or the photographer ( another beholder) or actually its simply a natural circumstance by the way the image cropped it from the broader visual field.

I simply drool over such a combination... Drooling Drooling

Congratulations

Arturo

Rachael is right. It is hard indeed to make a good iris banner. Well done! Hurray!

Thank you! *Blush*

Yes, Arturo--it is quite literally a sea of purple to left as well

and also to the right, where it transitions from white and purple to white

but the timing is off...

I have a gazillion pics but haven't had time to get to them. There's a couple quick shots from the same day though, just to illustrate the fondness I have of purple Smiling

Dirt, I counted over 1000 seeds you sent me! I'm hoping that those colours will appear somewhere. I realize that what draws me most are certain colours as they show directly outside. I guess that colour in itself has a major lure beyond any particular cultivar. Individual blooms may be breathtaking but I still favour the overall effect. So a huge assortment of potential noids that fulfill the role already make me very happy... the mere thought and imagination of them... Big Grin
I try to understand what calls my name and why. I also like to understand how it operates in other people, given that we are all a little different from each other. Are there common ground rules to perception? I'm at the infancy trying to answer this general question. This banner of yours really has hit spot on: what I see, what you see and what others see! Thank You! for assisting me in trying to solve this mystery.

Those irises posed so nicely! Hilarious! Great banner! I find it hard to get really good shots of irises, and even harder to get a good one with raindrops. Great job! Smiling
