So. I had one almost total crop and part of another crop of seeds from my Anthurium Red Crystallinum get eaten by rodents. I was so miffed. I ended up taking what was left of the second crop inside and germinating the seeds in a terrarium...a first for me. I usually have no problems like this in the greenhouse.
So I decided on a solution.
I made a (hopefully) critter proof seed/seedling hotel.
It has 3 shelves and was the home until recently for 2 large RATS. I am hoping their lingering scent will scare away any small mice, and the squirrel I have seen in here sometimes
As a further precaution, my best seeds are wrapped in layers of netting. And I hope to have new red crystallinum seeds moving in soon

Love your 'hotel'! What a great idea! Thumbs up

I'm gonna try using some of these dog crates I have to keep the chipmunks & squirrels from digging up my potted plants!

In your second pic, are you opening the "door", or is there a large gap where a rodent can enter?

Sometimes I use cooling racks over various boxes for rodent prevention. I suppose you could make a customized "hotel" with these racks zip-tied together, but it could be expensive.
