I have over 20 varieties of sedum in my yard, so I thought I would share a photo of one of my sedum beds (I call this my rock garden). I posted more photos of this area in the Rock Garden forum. The soil in my yard is sandy and sedum love it and thrive. In this bed, I was going for a tapestry effect of low sedums in different colors.

I like how you used those tall plants in the rear to get some upwards structure. Sedum has a few tall ones but mostly it is a bit lower. I really like the blue spruce, and yellow mixture. I got some blue spruce-- I had never even thought of it before but I got some huge portions of it and now, I think it is now a favorite of mine.

I wanted to add that I think people often focus on mounding flowers and bushes. Since starting to like Sedums I have learned to appreciate the ground hugging types as well. Some lime green Angelina surrounding a nice black rock is awesome!
