I've read threads here and other forums, tons of articles...

Just wondering what your experiences are with removing well-established aeriel roots.
Everything I read is about 50/50, leaving or removing.

I ask because I have a 25-30 year-old sprawler on my porch.

Gave up on vertical support about 12 years ago and she wanders about 4-5' leaf-wise down the steps with massive leaves, with 3-4' roots.

Going to re-pot , thinking out options.

Because the roots serve a function. They may be unruly and you may not like the look. But they do absorb water for the plant in the form of humidity, and if pressed, can absorb nutrients as well. They are looking for something to anchor to. If your plant ever suffers root rot, they will save your plant
