Hello:
I am growing some gomphrena from seeds in 9 inch clay pot, and they are coming along well. Wanted to know how much should I thin them? How many plants are ideal in a 9 inch pot?
Thanks!!

What does the packet say about spacing and mature plant size? I usually crowd potted plants but it helps to have a starting guide.
Gomphrena is such a reliable, cheery potted annual —which color?

thin out the smaller ones now so they do not take up nutrients and water . fewer, larger plants produce more flowers.
these are 8" pots with one plant in each pot

Mike ~ Those are just lovely! What month did you sow them? Did you just sow them in the big pots, or did you transplant them?
