Jacob's Ladder

Polemonium boreale 'Heavenly Habit' (Northern Jacob's Ladder). A tidy reseeding perennial in my northeastern US garden. Deer and rabbit resistant.

Love that, and it's deer resistant too! Take note all you northern gardeners being visited by those nibbling deer.

Thank you All for the thumbs and lovely comments! Imagine my surprise: I had submitted this banner photo so long ago, never anticipating its publication.

This stand of Polemonium, seen early June 2021, was deer-browsed a little in 2022, along with Lily of the Valley and Castor Bean - all reputed deer-resistant choices for the northeastern US garden. It is my hope that those deer with the ravenous appetites and lead guts move along soon.

Once again, thanks. Your kind kudos are a welcome break from my season of welded wire, netting and other deer-proofing methods.

Maggie ~ Deer have eaten Monkshood, which is highly poisonous. That deer probably died. I don't grow it any more. Your Polemonium is just lovely! Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby
