Thank you All for the thumbs and lovely comments! Imagine my surprise: I had submitted this banner photo so long ago, never anticipating its publication.
This stand of Polemonium, seen early June 2021, was deer-browsed a little in 2022, along with Lily of the Valley and Castor Bean - all reputed deer-resistant choices for the northeastern US garden. It is my hope that those deer with the ravenous appetites and lead guts move along soon.
Once again, thanks. Your kind kudos are a welcome break from my season of welded wire, netting and other deer-proofing methods.
