Gigi; When I owned a "Maya" It kept getting taller & taller (no inflos) I even 'shortened' it _trying to make it send out some branches. Nope... anyway, lost it in the Winter Freeze.
The blooms are not spectacular on Maya. A very basic pink. Most of your variegated varieties are pink a few red. The leaves definitely make up for that.
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.
