Deep Pink Lotus

Taken at Chicago Botanic Garden. By the end of July and August, I could get lost there just around all the various waterlilies and lotus in all the lagoons.

Pretty sure it's a (tropical?) water lily, not a lotus.

You're probably right about that, I probably just took a guess because the flower was sticking up over the water instead of just floating on it, which tropical water lilies can also do like lotus. Water lilies or lotus, I do love them, even the plain white common ones you see on lakes.

I am compelled to write something complimentary about your banner, even though I'm running out of adjectives, since the banners all have been so spectacular. This one is a beauty unto itself; the color magnificent, the technicalities perfectly done. Super banner!
