Does anyone know how to make a desert rose to send out seed pods? Also, I've been trying to grow it from cutting but with no luck. Watched all the youtube videos on how to grow from cutting with no positive results. Anyone?

cuttings ? maybe @GigiPlumeria @2ManyPlants @wildbloomers and @Kaktus can be of assistance with cuttings

seedpods may not form until the plant reaches maturity: average 5 to 8 years ....some hybrid plant seedpods may produce sterile seed, if at all

a flower must be fertilized before seedpods can form .... as seedpods form on the same stem (days after) as the flower ...important to allow flowers to fade and fall off on their own

flowers form at the end of stem tips ...
to increase your chances of seedpods - increase the number of flowers....
prune, by cutting off stems by about half ....each cut will yield anywhere from 1 to 5 new stems - as new stems emerge, pinch out any leaves that shade out other stems .... new stems equals more stem tips, means more flowers plus seedpods

once a flower falls off ...about 4 days later - check that stem tip for 2 little "steer-horns" where the horn tips face each other ....mark the day on your calendar and in about 70 days ...the seedpods split open ....before splitting open the seedpods will grow from 3 to 8 inches long ....look a little like a pair of green-beans ....may change colors from black to purple to green to light tan

if it freezes in Laredo ...you will need to bring your adenium inside when temps fall below 50° .... never let it freeze ....and never water in cold temps

wait until spring to do pruning

Welcome! @Phil99T

I have 40% success rate with cuttings, these are what I will recommend:
- select the stem that is about 1.5 to 2 cm in diameter
- keep only 3 youngest leaves on the stem, cut those 3 leaves by half, get rid of the rest of the leaves, even better if you can prune thoses leaves 3 days earlier.
- KEY : let the cutting air dry / callused for 1 to 2 weeks.
- plant the cuttings and keep them in light shade area, no direct sun, minimal watering after 1 week.

I will strongly recommend air layering, as so far air layering give me 100% success rate.
If they look healthy, do nothing

Welcome! @Phil99T I agree with TJoe on the process and I have been thinking of doing air layering especially on some that are currently blooming.

I have very few success in cuttings. Probably only 25% and mostly the thick cuttings, see below:

The sticks is a trick I learned from YouTube. The cuttings are just barely touching the dirt and the bamboo stick holds it in place and stable. (I still let the cuttings callous and had increased my success with this method). You can also use sand in rooting cuttings.

There is also a thread for cuttings propagation.
