I am quickly becoming addicted to air plants. I know they were popular in the '70s and it seems they are coming back in vogue. I'd love to chat with any of you who are similarly addicted. Lovey dubby
Here are a few of mine.

Before and after soaking Xerographica over-night. The leaves really loosen up with soaking.

I have a number of air plants. I have been keeping out side in texas.
the lighter color ones have done poorly in the Texas heat. The darker more green have done better
Plants are like that little ray of sunshine on a rainy day.

Those are really lovely plants. I look forward to following this thread.

We do have a bromeliads forum and that seems like a better place for the thread than the succulent forum, so I will move it over there.

Christie, is the first photo after soaking ? it looks fatter ...

I just kept Tilandsias for a couple of months, bought around 15 common and cheap one like ionantha and cotton candy, still trying.. Have questions on the color, have seen Ionantha Rubra and Fuego with some beautiful color even they are not in flowering mood, any idea if they have the color change without blooming ?
If they look healthy, do nothing

Christie, airplants aka: Tillandsia are fun to grow. I like your creative displays of them. Thumbs up
We actually have a Tillandsia thread you might enjoy taking a look at all the creative ways others have displayed them.

The second photo is after soaking - the leaves loosen up after soaking. The first photo looks fatter because all those leaves are in a tight bunch. I know the leaves will change right before blooming, but I think they can also change with increased light. At least I think Fuego does that.
