I have not even a clue looks like a seed grown dahlia. I have grown dahlias for 30 years. Many seed grown do not have names. Dahlias grown from tubers are all registered and given ID.

You could try to go to the dahlia data bank and see if you see a match.
Maybe someone else here could recognize this seed dahlia .

Thanks for your help. I bought it as Joconda from Sarah Raven but I'm unfortunately not getting anywhere with them. It is the same colour and petal shape as Joconda, just with this giant yellow centre. I can't find any clue that Joconda flowers will develop into this shape. Maybe just substandard googling...

It probably is Joconda, just with this unusual bloom.

Yup, i now think it probably is Joconda. Sarah Raven just insisteď I bought Joconda and didn't comment on the difference in the photograph i sent them. All blooms have been exactly the same. The plant is magnificent.

sometimes the varieties have blown centers and never seem to recover out of them. My bees never complain about having the pollen showing; it's all a matter of taste. that dahlia is beautiful! People who show dahlias have different standards than those of us who grow for pollinators or for garden and cutting pleasure.
