Thread OP

I have an Alocasia (Odora I think...) indoors. It's been doing well and has put out a new leaves and a flower since I've had it the last 2 months however the newest leaf is a pale yellow between the veins. All the other leaves are fine except this new one. On other plants I'd think that would be lack of fertilizer but not sure about this plant. I give a low dose of fertilizer every time I water (just miracle grow liquid).

Is this yellowing normal? Or is something wrong?

Aroids will not thrive long term on just Miracle Gro. Most tropical plants won't. They need a complete fertilizer that contains all the trace elements and micronutrients. Something like Dynamics's Foliage Pro, or Osmocote PLUS

ah Ok thanks Gina! I had no clue Miracle Grow wasn't an inclusive/complete fertilizer. Ok thank you! I have Osmocote at home so I'll try that.
