Interesting manipulation of one flower bud image (if that is a flower bud?) Is the bud where the spice comes from? Did you grow this plant?

It looks like a frog face holding pompoms! Hilarious! The 2 eyes are the 2 small dark round berries maybe? about 1/3 of the way from the end and the buds are the pompoms. Very interesting banner! I should add that the width I have my browser at cuts off about 1" after the 2nd bud, otherwise the full length messes with my froggy image.

Creative composition. Great banner, and a refreshing subject matter.

Thank you for the comments! LOL Yes, I grew this plant, and I took the picture!
They are buds. They have a slight scent of watermelon and strawberry.

What unusual flowers! But the scent alone would be enough for me to want it.

Those are great pictures. And I looked up the plant: Carolina allspice aka sweetshrub (Calycanthus floridus). A native to southeast U.S. This is not the plant where the spice allspice comes from (That is Pimenta dioica--a tropical plant). Sounds like it would be an interesting plant to try. Fragrance, unusual flowers, glossy foliage, yellow fall color.
