I would also like to tell everyone that Trish's soaps and many other things are wonderful. The balms, the dish cloths, the lavender and rose mist - everything - just wonderful!

Dave, I would share sweet potatoes with you if we lived near as I drink them everyday. Can't stand to eat them Whistling but they are so healthy so I bake them and they go into my smoothie each day - YUM! Thumbs up

Loved all the tips for the children. Our two youngest granddaughters tell me each year what they want to grow and I send them seeds and they send me photo's of their bounty. They do veggies and flowers. Hurray! They "think" grandma s can grow anything and one year the youngest asked me for Lady's Slipper Whistling Bless her heart - I had to explain to grow them from seed was far out of my area expertise and they were a wildflower, etc.

Vic, your grandchildren are so lucky to have you in their lives! Hurray!

I grow sweet potatoes every year and do quite well with it but it's the overwintering process that I've never really gotten and consequently I have to re-order them every year!!!

Mostly I was amazed that a 6 year old even knew what a Lady's Slipper was - Lovey dubby

Shoe might be able to help you with overwintering tips. He brought us a boatload of sweet potatoes a while back.

Shoe is the one who was really encouraging me on the overwintering of the sweet potatoes. He's so amazingly experienced!

Another fantastic pod cast! My nephew (8 years old) goes snail and slug hunting at school in his vegetable plot, great idea!
Some pictures for you and Trish.

Neil.
I tip my hat to you.

Dave & Trish: What a wonderful podcast; I wish every parent everywhere could hear it! Even if someone doesn't have a yard/outdoor space for gardening they could give a child a couple of little pots and a sunny window to grow a plant or two ... a wonderful and educational experience!
