Thread OP

I am a new homeowner and completely neglected my yard for 9 months. It has a 6 foot tanyosho pine tree and deer ferns.

I am finally watering the soil and caring for the deer ferns, but for the tree, most of the needles have browned. Is it reviveable? There are 20% patches of green, with green growing seeds, but 80% is brown.

It is probably a goner.

Did you plant the pine?

If it is browning from the top down, it is not too hopeful. I would water it and see if it improves.
