Found this weed, I think. Location in Texas.

Wonding if that is unusual varigation/lighness on leaves, or if it is typical of specias. Growing in wet clay on edge of pond.

It looks familiar but the name isn't coming to me. It's not very clear but unless it is my imagination it looks like there may be ochreas on the stem which would suggest Polygonaceae.

I'm confused. Is this growing in Texas or Michigan??? Confused
If it's Texas, I'd let it grow - looks like another small one at the bottom of the photo. It will be easier to identify when it's bigger.

I agree it looks familiar, but all I can identify is the tree that it is growing under which is a Chinese Tallow.

I think opposite leafed, but not 110% sure of that.
The yellow marking could be stress.
Plant it and they will come.
