I write to you from the Highveld (inland) in sunny South Africa.
After receiving a Frangipani Cutting from a neighbour and rooting her in a large glass jar in water, I potted her into a terracotta pot, filled her 'holed'saucer with gravel raising the pot in order that she does' nt wallow in water.
Much to my delight... She is Thriving.
I did think it a little premature but am seeing her Inflos after only a month or so, of her inception.
As a rule of thumb Frangipani
are not seen planted out here in Johannesburg, as even with our sunny blue skies and mild winter weather we experience quite harsh winter days and sub/tropical plants need to be overwintered indoors or in a conservatory.
With her position on the pool deck in in my North West facing garden she is receiving at least 8hours of sushine.
I do hope that some avid gardener will take some time to offer me some info/advice which would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards,
MJG
