Here's a picture of some recent visitors. I live in the city limits, but am amazed at the variety of wildlife I see in my yard.
I wasn't sure if I should post this in "Gardening for Wildlife" or "Pests and Diseases", but I think here will be OK.

MsDoe I often catch videos of Javelinas like these on my Ring doorbell as they come up on my front porch to drink water and eat my plants. A group of 4 of them also found a way to get into my fenced back yard and trash many plants and gave me quite a scare when I stepped into the back yard early that morning to feed the birds. They are very dangerous animals.

I don't usually see them during daylight hours. They do love to clean up the excess birdseed, find water, eat whatever they like and knock everything over looking for grubs and worms. I have a six foot chain link fence that keeps them out of the back, but they're regular night visitors to the front.
My neighbor planted 100 tulip bulbs, then goofed and left his gate open. He said it looked like his whole yard had been plowed. He ended up with about three flowers.
Yes, they can be dangerous--to people and dogs. I've heard that over most of their range they're not a problem in urban areas, because if they do show up they get eaten. Can't do that here!

That is sad about those tulips. Here they sometimes attack dogs people are walking. They have become a bit of a problem in urban areas here. They can be hunted during hunting season.

They're legally a big game animal in Arizona. It requires a hunting license and following various regulations.
I'm inside city limits so can't even consider it! (Besides, I'm just not a hunter.)
How do you like your Ring camera? I've been thinking of getting an outdoor camera to keep an eye on the wildlife, but maybe a doorbell camera would work.

MsDoe, I love the Ring doorbell. I never knew about all the animals that were wondering this neighborhood and my yard till I got it. Have seen coyotes, Javelinas, rabbits, bobcats, and a raccoon all by my front porch where I have water and a fountain.
