Hi, I wanted to attempt grafting to repair my frangipani and I understand it's recommended the scions are relatively short and also of young growth (maybe one to two years old).

I'm wondering though if anyone has had success grafting larger scions (approx 3ft) from older limbs?

Can this be done with scions and root stock of matching diameter?

And advice you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Regards.

You can graft matching sizes. Best method for this is a slant graft.
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.
