Thread OP

Hello all,

I have built recently a greenhouse geodesic dome in a very hot region.
Is is possible to use this kind of ventilators (photo) to bring fresh air (from outside inside). I already have an exhaust fan on top of the roof.

Welcome!
That could work. The critical issue is how powerful the fans are vs. how big your greenhouse is. The fans should push enough air (cubic feet per minute; CFM) to change the air in your green house multiple times per minute.

You can also drape shade cloth (available online and at good garden stores) over the green house to cut down on the amount of sunlight that gets into the greenhouse.

I also live in a locations with intense sunlight and I use fans and shade cloth and I remove the end walls when things get hot.

Good luck!

Looks like a duct-mount fan. If it's mounted on a wall panel, you'd be better off with something like this:

It should be mounted on the side of your greenhouse that's shaded in the afternoon, close to the ground.

At 8000 ft. we have strong summer sun. I use shadecloth and passive venting, with thermal pistons on louver vents at the corners and clerestory roof vents, also driven by thermal pistons.
